On the Sega Saturn at least, Jim looks great, the levels are beautiful and the sound is better than ever. The puppy bouncing, the isometric shooter, floating around as a blind cave salamander, they’re all good mini-games, but after playing the original Earthworm Jim, you’ll probably be ready for some really solid platforming. You can barely call Earthworm Jim 2 a platformer, and sometimes that gets really frustrating.
